Session 2: Quit Day
During Session 2 you will begin to understand your learned habit. You will learn some stress management/relaxation techniques. And you will begin to build you confidence and motivation to quit.
To enhance motivation to change by increasing awareness of the health effects of smoking;
To discuss the decision participants have arrived to over the week;
To discuss their pattern of smoking and determine triggers in their respective environments;
To generate ideas for coping with craving in these situations, and
To determine participants’ level of nicotine dependence and discuss the use of nicotine gum
